32,000 slates were required to cover a roof area of 1754 meters squared on the main building, slates were double lapped and laid in a broken bond pattern. Sarnafil single ply was applied to the high level flat roofs and box gutters equating to 95 meters squared. All materials were lifted by crane reducing carrying time and all works were completed to time over a 20 week programme with a workforce of two slaters and two trained and approved Sarnafil installers.
